The Cavs Sign Larry Sanders
The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to sign Larry Sanders. He will fill Andrew Bogut’s spot, as he just recently broke his leg. Sanders took a physical examination on Monday with his agent in Cleveland. After the physical, the Cavs decided to wave Bogut. Scouts keeping an eye on Sanders say he is still athletic but is not in the best shape.
What has Larry Been up To?
Scouts keeping an eye on Sanders say he is still athletic but is not in the best shape. The reason he was out of the NBA, is because he violated the NBA’s drug policy 4 times! Before games, he has positive marijuana tests. Also, after games, he checked himself into hospitals for anxiety and depression.
2 years ago, before Sanders got suspended from the NBA, he played for the Bucks. At that time he was the biggest shot-blocker in the league, averaging 1.8 blocks per game! In the 2012-2013 season, he was second in the league in blocked shots.
Did the Cavs Make a Good Decision?
Lebron has had some experience with helping returning players. An example is Chris Anderson. This player was cut from the Denver Nuggets due to legal issues. A year later the Miami Heat signed him, and he gave them a huge boost. This led them to win the championship.
Currently, the Cavs need some help as they are losing games that they should be winning. This includes the game that they went against the Rockets. During the game, the Cavs were winning by 14 points, but then they ended up losing. Also, without Kevin Love, other teams have been outrebounding them. With the addition of Larry Sanders, hopefully, they can grab more rebounds.
