Stephen Curry Ankle Injury 2016
In Game 1 against the Houston Rockets, Steph Curry tweaked his ankle.
Toward the end of the first half, Steph had his ankle injury examined on the bench, then suddenly left to the locker room. Many people thought he was done for… But it turns out he just left to get retaped and showed up to play again in the third quarter. Now everyone thought he was all fine, but he was taken out of the game again with 9:12 left in the third and went back to the locker room.
The game ended with a Warriors win 104-78.
After the Game
In post-game interviews, the MVP Stephen Curry told everyone he was fine and he would be ready to come back the next game.
Steve Kerr on the other hand, said he was questionable for Game 2, after the game.
That Sunday Steph missed practice which scared many.
But, the Warriors took extra precaution with Steph and sat him out for Games 2 and 3. The Warriors knew about Steph’s serious ankle injury in the 2011-2012 season and didn’t want that again. That season he missed 40 games due to the injury and missed another 10 games the three seasons after. This explains why the Warriors are so over protective with Steph. Also, he arguably the best player on the team. Who would want to lose your best asset? Definitely not the Warriors!
Finally, for game 4 Steph returned and he looked fine.
In the end, the Warriors won the round and moved up!
