Whats Going On?
Recently, the Warriors have been losing a lot more games than usual. This probably has to do with the fact that Durant is injured and Curry isn’t playing his best. On Friday, March 10, the team took a hard loss (1 point) against Minnesota. After that game, Coach Kerr announced he will sit his top 4 players in the game against San Antonio (following day, Saturday)
Why is the Spurs Game Important?
Currently, the Warriors are number 1 in the Western Conference. Right below them is the San Antonio Spurs, with 2 fewer wins and 1 more loss. This game will probably happen again in the Western Conference Finals. Both teams should play hard to try and prepare for what will soon come.
Warriors Gonna Sit Best Players Out?
According to head coach Steve Kerr, Curry, Iguodala, Thompson, and Green are all going to sub out of Saturday’s game against the Spurs. The likely reason for this call is that the Warriors have had 8 games in the last 13 days. The players need to rest, and it would be a good time to see what bench players like Shaun Livingston could do. But, there is a big problem with benching your star players. Not only does it make your team worse, but it makes the fans angry. People paid good money to see the game and watch Curry, Green etc. Yet, they find out they are gonna watch the Warrior’s bench. I would be miserable.
What do you think about Coach Kerr’s call? Do you think the players need to rest? Or should they play in this important game? Leave a comment below.
