After Monday’s loss against the Spurs, it is obvious that something isn’t normal with the Cavaliers. So, the big question, why are the Cavaliers losing?
What is going on?
If you didn’t figure it out yet, Cleveland is now second place in the Eastern Conference! This is bizarre as you would think they have no competition in their conference. But after all their losses, you realize that they aren’t as good of a team as you think they are.
With three star players, Kyrie Irving, Lebron James, Kevin Love; how can this team lose 26 games with a month around 10 games still left in the season?
Currently, the Cavs are 25th in defensive rebound percentage after the all-star break! Why are they slacking off??? Not just that, overall they are 29th in defense after the break! What is their team thinking? You can’t win with only offense!
Cavs’ Players Reactions
“It’s a delicate time right now for our team,” James said after Monday’s loss. “A lot of people talking … guys in the locker room. I’m not saying it’s for the bad. We’ve got a couple guys that’s shown leadership, some guys that’s been in the fray before that’s giving their opinions.”I’ve learned over the season there’s a time and place for it. Certain situations. I kind of wait for the right time … So my time will come.” (http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19020781/cavaliers-delicate-state-following-loss-san-antonio)
The Spurs game was hell for Cleveland guard, Kyrie Irving. His minus-29-plus rating was so bad, in fact, it was the lowest of his career! Because of this, after the game, Irving stayed late on the court practicing.
“The crazy part about it. We start off the right way, but teams are so much faster than us,” Lue said. “They just look so much faster than we are. I mean. I mean, damn. It just looks like, just beat us on the dribble, transition, just looking faster.”
So, let me ask you, why are the Cavaliers losing? Do you think they are still a finals contender team? Comment below.
